The One and The Other
Diptyk . Watercolor on Paper . 2014
I approach different gestures and tactile and haptic games. Through a merging of the banal and the forbidden I open up ways to see new perspectives on the depicted act and what is inherent to it. Simultaneously, my paintings are also a way of depicting a multilayered curiosity regarding the body and the flesh. It is an ongoing exploration of inherited human behaviours, embedded mechanisms and embodied expression.
